UCP Series Pillow Block Ball Bearings

This is the most typical ball bearing unit, designed with a rib in the center of the base for maximum strength and minimum deformation. The UCP209 series consists of a two-bolt cast iron housing (standard P209) in which an outer spherical ball bearing (UC209) with set screw locking is installed. Theserolamentosusually contain a grease nipple (grease fitting) for relubrication and possibly an anti-rotation pin or anti-rotation collar.

Function and Maintenance of Pillow Block Ball Bearings

The set screw locking on the extended inner ring ensures a secure connection to the shaft. Relubricable inserts are added via grease nipples. Self-aligning capability due to the convex/concave geometry. Some variations include triple lip seals (L3), anti-rotation pins and collars

Metric vs. Imperial bore diameters in different size models UCP209 bearings are available in the following different models, depending on the shaft (bore) size: UCP209-26 → 1-5/8 inch bore (approximately 41.28 mm) UCP209-27 → 1-11/16 inch bore (approximately 42.86 mm) UCP209-28 → 1-3/4 inch bore (approximately 44.45 mm) UCP209-45 → 45 mm bore (standard metric size)
