Needle Roller Bearings
Needle roller bearings use small needle rollers (6 mm diameter or less) as rolling elements. These bearings have small cross-sectional areas, high load carrying capacity, high rigidity and low inertia forces, which help reduce machine size and weight. They are designed to withstand vibrations, operate under harsh conditions and be interchangeable with plain bearings.
Needle roller bearings are cylindrical roller bearings with a small diameter relative to their length. The improved roller/raceway profile prevents stress peaks, which increases bearing life.
Custom Needle Bearings
NSAR offers a wide range of
needle roller bearings in different designs, series and sizes for a wide variety of operating conditions and applications.
Needle roller thrusting bearings can be divided into radial bearings and thrust bearings depending on the direction of the load they are subjected to. Needle roller bearings have rollers that are three to ten times longer than their diameter and have a relatively large radial load capacity. Applications using needle roller bearings include automotive transmissions or air conditioning compressors.
