if a bearing insert needs to be replaced, it is not always necessary to replace the housing, if the housingis undamaged.
Simply insert a new bearing into the old housing, after care fully inspecting the housing toassure that it is not damaged.

Replacement procedures for a bearing insert are listed below.
(1) Remove the complete bearing unit from the shaft and mounting base.
(2) Screw in the set screws so that the head of the set screw does not protrude outside the O.D. theinner race. Otherwise the head of the set screw may damage the bearing seat inside the housing.
(3) Turn the bearing 90° with a hammer handle or a bar or pipe until the bearing is horizontal.
(4) Remove the bearing insert from the housing via the bearing groove in the housing.
